Dr. Fox is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in private practice in Avon, Colorado.  She specializes in the mental health treatment of individuals, couples, and families. She received her B.A. in Psychology from Princeton University, and her M.A. and Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from The University of Denver.  Dr. Fox trained at the Colorado Blood Cancer Institute at Presbyterian St. Luke’s as an integral member of the psychosocial oncology team. She collaborated within a multidisciplinary approach to stem cell transplant and patient rehabilitation. As a member of the team, she conducted intensive individual, couples, and family therapy over the course of treatment, centered on coping with change, grief, and loss. She developed a clinical expertise focused on the diagnosis and treatment of trauma, broadly understood as a life-threatening event with significant and enduring impact. Dr. Fox continued her training at Children’s Hospital Colorado with an emphasis on family systems, trauma, and attachment. As a member of the Mental and Behavioral Health Care Team, she worked on the inpatient adolescent unit as well as the outpatient pediatric unit. In addition, she was a member of the perinatal mental health team at the Kempe Center in Denver, Colorado. She worked within a family system context, specifically with mothers and infants, in the treatment of postpartum depression, anxiety, and psychosis. Dr. Fox completed her doctoral internship at The Colorado Psychology Internship Consortium at Bright Future Foundation in Avon, Colorado. In addition to working with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, she served as a mental health consultant to the Eagle County Health and Human Services Child Protection Team, expanded evidence-based curriculum and taught court-appointed parenting classes for the 5th Judicial District, conducted psychological assessments within the Eagle County public school system, and collaborated with other community providers in building bridges specific to mental health services.

Dr. Fox is committed to evidence-based practices and is passionate about psychological assessment. Dr. Fox values gold standard excellence in psychological assessment, and moreover how the process of assessment can inform the roadmap of therapy. She believes that assessment can help individuals, couples, and families at any age efficiently and therapeutically identify issues that may be interfering with optimal cognitive and social-emotional functioning.

Dr. Fox does not work directly with insurance companies, but does work with patients to pursue reimbursement.  Her current rate is $280.00 per 50-minute session.
